The Sweet Things have recently been named one of America’s Greatest Unsigned Bands. The group’s swagger, command of the stage, invigorating and incendiary live shows, and infectious gutsy pure rock n’ roll have earned them a highly engaged fanbase.
In just one year, the band has gone from openers to headliners. The group’s show with NYC rock legends the Toilet Boys sold out. A video from their New Year’s Eve gig jamming with a special guest wracked up 13,000 views in two days. Steppin’ Out Magazine has named their song “Love To Leave” song of the week, gushing: “Charismatic rock band THE SWEET THINGS is what your ears have been craving.” Indie tastemakers Faster And Louder enthuse: “The Sweet Things are a real treat for anyone who loves guitar-centric rock n' roll with a whiff of booze.” The Sweet Things have recently been featured on NY1. In addition, they’ve sold out of three orders of T-shirts all around the country, despite not having any music commercially available.
Live highlights for members of the group include performing at BAM, The Lenox Lounge, Vans Warped Tour, The Grand Victory, Beast Of Bourbon, Bowery Electric, Saint Vitus, the Acheron, Webster Hall, among many national and international tours.
The four-piece are a close-knit bunch who met in the East Village rock n’ roll scene and bonded over The Rolling Stones, The Faces, and Johnny Thunders. Individual members have played with such esteemed groups as the L.E.S. Stitches, The Sharp Lads, The Dimestore Haloes, The Dead Tricks, Stiletto, Mazard, and Tongue.
