Zip gun dandies on the loose…
Oblivious to musical trends and fads, Smash Fashion live in a world of their own creation. Successfully distilling an intoxicating sonic elixir, Smash Fashion blends 50’s rock n’ roll, 60’s mod and psychedelia, 70s glitter rock, power pop and punk to build their own musical Frankenstein. Lennon and Bolan influenced lyrics open the door to a rock and roll fantasy world filled with colourful characters, melodic hooks and ear catching guitar riffs.
Smash Fashion’s broad appeal and arena size presence has seen them share the stage on both sides of the Atlantic with such rock legends as Ian Hunter, Arthur Lee and Love, The Zombies, Cheap Trick; 80s rockers such as Psychedelic Furs, The Alarm and Missing Persons; and contemporay bands like JET, Silversun Pickups, The 88 and UK sensations Orson…
With the release of 2014's "Big Cat Love", Smash Fashion have gone from Los Angeles club and peer favourites, to world wide recognition. Rave reviews from around the globe, including Classic Rock (UK) Shindig (UK) Vive Le Rock (UK) and Sweden Rocks (SE) to name a few, have placed “Big Cat Love” on multiple top ten lists for rock LP's of the year. In addition, far and wide support from radio programs such as Rodney On The KROQ in Los Angeles, to heavy rotation on the legendary Radio Caroline in the United Kingdom, continues to build Smash Fashion’s international interest and fan base.
The fall of 2015 finds the boys releasing a limited edition 7 inch vinyl single "Junkie Luck,” backed with a raucous cover of Golden Earring’s “Long Blond Animal”. A new concept video shot in Los Angeles will accompany the release. In the meantime, a full length follow up to the “Big Cat Love” album is currently in production for a 2016 release. With tours of the United Kingdom, and East and West coasts of the United States under their belt, Smash Fashion are eager to return to the road...
